Gold and Silver for Repente Saddles at the Spanish National Cyclocross Championship in the Elite Women’s category. Cyclist Sofía Rodríguez Revert from Team Nesta claimed the prestigious Iberian title, defeating her teammate Lucía González on the challenging Galician circuit of As Pontes, in La Coruña. Both athletes rely on the Repente Latus M saddle, known for its lightweight design and superior comfort. Their MMR bikes are also equipped with Repente handlebar tapes.
Rodríguez demonstrated exceptional endurance, appearing fresher than González in the latter half of the race. Her strategic move in the final lap allowed her to overtake her teammate and secure her first National Champion’s jersey in the Elite Women’s category.
The demanding muddy conditions tested the riders’ skills and stamina to the limit. Thanks to her recent experience racing in Belgium, Rodríguez adapted better to the terrain, tackling the race with confidence and determination.
For Lucía González, aged 34, it was a hard-fought battle. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t retain the national title, which she had held for several years.
